The collection Anekke Shōen is named after the Japanese artist Uemura Shōen, a pioneer in the art world who succeeded in getting painting recognised as a profession for women. Uemura's art depicts women in their everyday lives, and our protagonist interprets this vision into very special designs.
Art has no gender, no age, no expiry date. It is a vibration, an emotion that is born, it is a current that flows and runs through my body, like a ray charged with electricity that directs my hands towards the blank canvas to create a new reality.
